CPM - Building Materials Ltd.

CPM - Building Materials Ltd. has been selling building material in Slovenian market since 1994. It was founded at the beginning of the mine closure by the company The Lead and Zinc Mine Mežica in closure Ltd. in order to search for new market opportunities. The ore production was stopped at the end of 1994. The line to process overburden for building purposes was introduced in the premises where lead ore was processed from 1914 to 1994. The building itself represents a rare example of this kind of industrial premises still preserved in Europe and it is therefore under protection as a technical monument.

Since its early beginnings the company has expanded its sale programme from the aggregates of various fractions to the production of specific mixtures of materials for building and plastering. Thus our sale programme comprises:

In accordance with the market demands of our most pretentious customers we invest all our endeavours into completing the palette of our products on the market and thus improving their quality. Our products are already well known and appreciated in Slovenia.

 

As a part of this company Tourist Mine and Museum was opened in 1997 and since then it has been open for public. Our main preoccupation is to preserve natural, technical and cultural heritage, which is more and more included into the tourist offer of Koroška region. As our offer is being constantly completed and improved, our Tourist Mine and Museum has turned into one of the most frequently visited tourist attractions in Koroška region.
